Administrative Review Tribunal (Previously AAT) lodgement fees to increase 1 July 2025

Understanding the new visa appeal fees, effective July 1, 2025, is crucial for anyone seeking a review of a migration or protection (refugee) visa decision as there are strictly no extensions of time for lodgement at these Tribunals.

Appeals to the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) have also applied new fees, ranging from $3,500 to $4,100, with reduced rates for eligible applicants. Both bodies offer fee reductions or exemptions based on financial hardship, requiring comprehensive documentation.
